This past weekend our music department was part of the semi-annual “MUSIC IS OUR VISION” music festival. Hosted this year by Perkins School for the Blind in Watertown, Massachusetts, our choir and bell choir performed with students from along the East Coast, including Canada. In attendance were: Governer Morehead School for the Blind (Raleigh, North Carolina), Maryland School for the Blind (Baltimore, Maryland), Perkins School for the Blind (Watertown, Massachusetts), St. Joseph School for the Blind (Jersey City, New Jersey) and W.Ross MacDonald School for the Blind (Brantford, Ontario, Canada).

On Friday evening there was a Sharing Concert where each school had the chance to perform for each other. Our Bell Choir rang “Chopsticks” and “Eleanor Rigby”, Franklin Nichols performed his original song “The Answer Is Love” and the Choir sang “How Can I Keep From Singing” featuring Tashea White. Saturday was fill with many hours of rehearsals followed by the big event that evening. The concert was even aired LIVE on YouTube and can still be viewed by going searching YouTube for:
