Main Line Italian American Civic Association Golf Outing
The Westover Country Club was buzzing with activity and fun on Friday, September 19th as 110 generous golfers met to begin a day of long swings, chip shots, birdies and eagles at the 5th Annual Main Line Italian American Civic Associations Golf Outing to benefit the Overbrook School for the Blind.
With perfect weather as a backdrop the day started with the first ever Helicopter Golf Ball Drop. The prize for the winning ball was $1500.00 — which our own Lori Leonard won! The amazing volunteers welcomed the golfers with warm smiles and tasty refreshments and the day wouldn’t have been the same without the help of the following people: Aimee DiTomo, Stephanie Schreiber, Theresa Burch, Trish Ferri, Trish Bonner, Kathe Archibald, Durrae Help, Bethanne DiFabio, Claire Midori, Jackie Brennan and Jean Anne Volgelman. Thanks to the hardwork, dedication and commitment of Scott Bostick, Overbrook’s Engineer, the Main Line Italian American Civic Association met its goal of raising $15,000.00. Congratulations to all who put so much time, money and effort behind this incredible fund-raising event!
