Dining In the Dark
Foundation Fighting Blindness sponsored the Philadelphia version of Dining in the Dark the evening of June 3rd at the Sheraton Philadelphia City Center Hotel. Over 200 guests experienced a unique opportunity by taking a journey of taste, sound and touch, all in the dark.
Eight of our High School and School to Work students were interviewed and hired by the administrator of the event, Opaque, LLC from San Francisco California. Assisted as needed by WEP staff, Cathy Chase, Clare and Patrick, Amiah, Ariel, Douglas, Eboni, Frank, Jill, Kassandra and Nahfis handled serving assignments of several tables of guests providing excellent customer friendly service during the event.
