Outright gifts of cash or stock are always gratefully received. If the stock has appreciated significantly in value, donating it to Overbrook may result in tax savings for you as well as a gift to the school. Most gifts help buy Braille materials, communication devices for individual students and other special materials and equipment that may not be paid for by other sources. Or, you can earmark any gift to a special program such as the:
The Early Intervention Outreach Program works with families of infants and toddlers who are blind or visually impaired to help them give their baby the best start in life.
Technology: OSB needs to update hardware and software so our students can continue to access educational information that can best help them meet their individual learning goals.
Did you know that some employers participate in matching gift programs? That means your company can double (sometimes triple) the dollars you donate to Overbrook. Many companies will match your gift to Overbrook School for the Blind. Click here to see if your company has matched donations to the school in the past.
In addition to gifts of cash or stock, you can help Overbrook now or in the future through a range of planned giving options. The simplest example is a bequest in your will. Another option includes a charitable gift annuity , which provides you with income while also helping the school.
