Current Phase: outreach in Southeast Asia and China

In 1998, The Overbrook-Nippon Network on Educational Technology  (ON-NET) was created in collaboration with The Nippon Foundation to serve eight countries in Southeast Asia.  The most recent international outreach program, the Overbrook China Initiative was started in 2003 and works with eleven partner schools and universities in China.

In addition to these current international outreach programs, Overbrook is very actively involved with the following organizations:

International Council for Education of People with Visual Impairment www.icevi.org is a global association of individuals and organizations that promotes equal access to appropriate education for all children and youth with visual impairment so that they may achieve their full potential. 

Deafblind International www.deafblindinternational.org provides referral and resource information to hundreds of individuals and organizations in the US and throughout the world.

World Blind Union http://www.worldblindunion.org/en/ is a non profit organization that represents over 160 million blind and partially sighted persons in 177 member countries.  It is the internationally recognized organization speaking on behalf of blind and partially sighted persons at the international level.
