Overbrook School for the Blind (OSB) broke ground today on a major campus expansion, marking the launch of Phase Two of its $20 million Taking Flight Capital Campaign.

We are excited to share that construction for Overbrook School for the Blind will officially begin on June 15, 2026.

Growth doesn’t happen overnight, and it can’t happen alone. For DeAngelo, a deafblind student at Overbrook School for the Blind, growth is shared with his intervener, Kim.

Secondary students in Eva P.’s class used braillers to write first-person essays from the perspectives of characters in Of Mice and Men. The lesson, “Voices from the Ranch,” encouraged students to combine creativity with close reading by analyzing character motivation, relationships, and themes while supporting their ideas with evidence from the text.

Overbrook School for the Blind proudly announces the election of Dr. Colleen Christian, a dedicated board member and respected pediatric ophthalmologist, as President of its Board of Trustees.

Overbrook School for the Blind (OSB) is pleased to announce the appointment of Renee Crosby, MSN, RN, CRNP, as its new Director of Health Services. Her 35 years of nursing include over 20 years as a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner -- providing a wealth of expertise in clinical care and educational health leadership.
