Overview:
Join us at Overbrook School for the Blind this Earth Day for a special Corporate Volunteer Day celebrating community, accessibility, and environmental stewardship.
This hands-on volunteer event will bring together local companies to support our students and staff through spring planting and orchard revitalization projects within Overbrook’s historic campus and horticulture program.
Volunteer Activities May Include:
Planting trees, flowers, and sensory-friendly plants
Preparing raised garden beds and accessible outdoor learning spaces
Mulching, composting, and landscape beautification
Working alongside students in interactive horticulture activities
Supporting pollinator and sustainability initiatives
Goals:
Engage local companies and teams in meaningful service
Promote sustainability and environmental education
Enhance sensory learning environments for students with visual impairments
Celebrate Earth Day through inclusion and community connection
Corporate Engagement Opportunities:
Team volunteer shifts (half-day or full-day)
Company logo featured on event signage and OSB social media
