Parent Resources from Parent Liaison, Rhonda Davis: There are several updated resources recently added to Caps4Kids under the COVID-19 section.

Community Resources Connect in another comprehensive listing of resources available throughout the greater Philadelphia region. Enter your zip code to find the most local information. 

You can reach the Greater Philadelphia Coronavirus Helpline by calling 1 (800) 722-7112.   There you will find information on where to get testing for children, and what to do if you are feeling sick.

Access Centers K-6th Grade Daycare for Philadelphia Students


Free, but you must register. If you have a student attending OSB in person, and have other Philadelphia School District students attending virtually at home, consider this resource:

Access Centers provide Philadelphia students with a safe place for digital learning when caregivers work outside the home and have no childcare supports. Registration is required. Register and find more info here. The staff at these centers:

  • Supervise students during digital learning time.
  • Provide meals.
  • Run activities.

COVID-19 Eviction Protections and Emergency Rental Assistance and Housing Help

No Cost Internet Resource for Philly Students


If you do not have internet in your home, and cannot afford to get it, call 2-1-1, then press #1, to see if you are eligible for  the city's PHLConnectED program. The program will offer eligible student households up to two years of high-speed internet. Participants will not pay any out-of-pocket expenses or installation fees.


Tech Help from University of Pittsburgh Students, Faculty and Staff


During the Covid-19 crisis, Pitt is offering free help with using computers, phones, tablets, email, connecting to the internet, and other basic questions.
