International Programs

Expanding education, access and opportunity for people with visual impairments around the world.

Since 1985, Overbrook School for the Blind’s International Program has helped expand education, assistive technology and employment opportunities for people with visual impairments around the world.

What began as a 10-month, on-campus training program has grown into a global outreach effort, connecting OSB’s expertise with educators, students, families and partner organizations across multiple countries.

A Legacy of Global Impact

From 1985 to 1999, OSB’s on-campus International Program provided training to more than 300 individuals from over 40 countries.

From On-Campus Training to International Outreach

Over time, OSB’s International Program evolved from an on-campus training model into a series of international outreach initiatives designed to meet local, national and regional needs.

Continuing the Mission

The OSB International Program has made a lasting difference by expanding access to education, technology and opportunity for students with visual impairments in under-resourced communities.

Through global partnerships, shared expertise and a commitment to equity, OSB continues to help create more inclusive opportunities for people with visual impairments around the world.
