Supporting the Whole Student, Every Day

At Overbrook School for the Blind, student support services are an essential part of each learner’s educational experience. Our nurses, therapists, specialists, case managers, psychologists, and support professionals work together to help students access learning, participate fully in school life, and build greater independence.

From health services and nutrition to therapy, mobility, communication, and behavioral support, OSB’s team-based approach helps meet each student’s individual needs across the classroom, campus, and community.

Working Together to Support Each Student

Support services at OSB are not separate from learning.

Teachers, therapists, nurses, orientation and mobility specialists, psychologists, case managers, and families collaborate to help students access their curriculum, participate in daily routines, and develop skills that support independence, communication, mobility, health, and confidence.

This team-based approach supports each student’s Individualized Education Program and helps ensure that services are connected to real school experiences.
