What Makes Overbrook School for the Blind Different?

Specialized Expertise

OSB students are supported by Certified Teachers of Students with Visual Impairments, orientation and mobility specialists, therapists, assistive technology professionals, and related service providers who understand the unique needs of learners with visual impairments and additional disabilities.

Support Beyond the Classroom

At OSB, learning happens across the classroom, campus, community, and daily routines. Students receive support through therapies, mobility instruction, residential opportunities, community-based learning, recreation, and family collaboration.

A Place Where Students Are Known

OSB is more than a school placement. It is a community where students are recognized for their abilities, supported through challenges, and encouraged to discover what is possible. With consistent services from early childhood through young adulthood, students have the opportunity to grow with a team that understands their needs and celebrates their progress.

Every student’s path is different.

Our commitment is the same.
