Beth Ramella, Ed.D.
Superintendent
EmailTodd Reeves, JD/MS, came to OSB in 2017 from the Western Pennsylvania School for Blind Children where he served as Executive Director and Superintendent since 2007. Reeves previously served as Superintendent of the Washington School for the Deaf in Vancouver beginning in 2003.
Originally from Eugene, Oregon, Reeves received his undergraduate degree from Pacific University with a major in communication disorders. He received a master's degree in 1988 in deaf education and clinical audiology at Lamar University in Texas and began his career as a speech language pathologist and teacher at the Washington School for the Deaf, where he served for five years. Reeves then attended the University of Washington in Seattle, receiving a J.D. from the School of Law and an educational administration certificate from their College of Education in 1996.
After short stints as the Principal of the Oregon School for the Deaf and Special Education Program Administrator in the Peninsula School District (Gig Harbor, WA), Reeves first became the Assistant Director, then Director of Special Education for the Tacoma (WA) Public Schools, where he was responsible for resolving all special education disputes and rectifying compliance challenges. After five years in Tacoma, Reeves reduced litigation costs by over 80% and resolved all challenging compliance issues. The reduced litigation costs allowed for more staffing and programming for the 4,400 special education students TPS served.
