EmailPamela Vasserman brings more than two decades of experience in fundraising, communications, and strategic leadership to her role as Director of Development & Communications at Overbrook School for the Blind. She oversees all aspects of the school’s advancement efforts—including major gifts, annual and planned giving, corporate and foundation relations, marketing, and public relations—ensuring that Overbrook’s story reaches and inspires a broad community of supporters.
Before joining Overbrook, Pamela built a distinguished record of success in both higher education, K–12 and political fundraising. At Temple University, she managed major gift portfolios, secured seven-figure funding for multiple capital projects, and obtained significant scholarship and programmatic support for students. At St. Hubert Catholic High School for Girls, she revitalized the advancement program, launched new alumnae engagement initiatives, and successfully brought in multiple seven-figure gifts—the largest philanthropic support in the school’s history. These achievements reflect her ability to pair data-driven strategies with authentic relationship-building to deliver transformative outcomes for the institutions she serves.
At Overbrook, Pamela has expanded the Advancement & Communications team and implemented a comprehensive, integrated strategy to grow philanthropy and visibility worldwide. Under her leadership, the school has launched the multi-million-dollar “Taking Flight” Campaign, created new donor societies, strengthened digital outreach, and forged new partnerships—all with the goal of bringing Overbrook’s innovative programs and life-changing impact to a broader audience. She is committed to ensuring that people across the globe understand and support the extraordinary work being done at Overbrook for students who are blind or visually impaired.
Pamela holds an MBA in Marketing and Analytics from Temple University, a B.A. in Political Science from Temple University, and an M.S. in Public Policy from Drexel University. She is also a licensed real estate agent in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Pamela is originally from West Virginia, but for almost twenty years has been in the Greater Philadelphia area. She lives in Jenkintown, Pennsylvania, with her two children and their golden retriever.
